CLIMBING PROGRAM

IMG_0063_with_kevin.JPG
The Boys & Girls Club at Maxwell Farms Regional Park is the home of a brand-new rock climbing wall! Professional Climbers International (PCI) and Vertex Climbing Center have partnered with the Club and Presentation School to provide professional training to staff. We are excited to be able to offer climbing programs to Sonoma Valley kids.

Members of the Boys & Girls Club get to challenge themselves daily through the Club's climbing program with the addition of a 32’ vertical traverse wall with a 20-foot, four rope ascent in the gymnasium.

Climbing Wall:Top rope climbing, with instruction, is offered daily, times and age groups vary.  Participants in the Climbing program will learn basic climbing techniques and safety.  Boys & Girls Club staff will handle the equipment so that participants can focus on climbing.  All participants are coached based on their climbing experience.  Rock climbing improves mental focus, flexibility, and strength.
